Perpignan/Toulouse contest final at Lansdowne

Perpignan and Toulouse contested the first all-French Heineken Cup final at a blustery Lansdowne Road.

Toulous were without injured trio Jean-Baptiste Elissalde, Patrice Collazo and Nicolas Jeanjean, but still went into the game as firm favourites.

Perpignan, meanwhile, were back at the scene of their superb semi-final success against Leinster.

Flanker Bernard Goutta led a full-strength team, with the 7/4 outsiders quietly confident of recording a surprise win in only their third Heineken Cup campaign.
