Students prevail against Terenure

In a match between a team playing for survival in the First Division and a Terenure side which lost that battle some weeks ago, the hungrier students prevailed by the slenderest of margins at Lakelands.

It was a game of many missed kicks and it was ironic that Eoghan Hickey won the match for the students from a place-kick in the closing moments.

UCD seemed to be coasting to victory at half-time thanks to a brace of first-half tries from Neil Coughlan and Darren McKenna, but Philip Costello and Killian Coleman ensured a nail-biting finish with early tries in the second-half for Terenure.
