Costelloe drop goal snatches win for UL/Bohs

Ian Costelloe's dramatic drop goal six minutes into injury time secured victory for UL/Bohemians over Garryowen in Dooradoyle.
This result extends the dogfight in the relegation battle in Division 1.
Bohs began the brighter and were six points up after 10 minutes following a drop goal and penalty from Costelloe. Keith Matthews extended Bohs' lead to 13 points with a try after 12 minutes.
Alan Purcell struck a penalty for Garryowen before Costelloe brilliantly dummied and went under the posts for a converted try.
Paul Neville hit back with a try for Garryowen before the break.
Garryowen began the second half better and tries from Pat Humphries, Alan Purcell and Paul Neville seemed to have secured a share of the points for Garryowen. But today belonged to UL/Bohs with Costelloe's dramatic final intervention.
