Eric Elwood kept Galwegians play-off hopes alive with an injury time penalty to secure maximum points at Stradbrook.

Four first-half tries from Michael Carroll (2), Mark Gilbride and Emmet Farrell secured Rock a bonus point to leave them leading 31-5 at the break.

The Galwegians pack responded to give their side the platform to whittle down the Rock lead as John Casserly and Alex Page both crossed for tries early in the second half.

Hooker Henry Bourke grabbed his second try in the closing minutes to leave just a point in it and set up Elwood's match-winning kick.
