Arneil rings changes
Scotland A team manager Dougie Arneil has made wholesale changes to his side for their game against Italy A on Friday.
The new coach has made 11 changes, two positional, to the side which lost 78-6 to England last week with Doddie Weir named as captain two years after he last wore the armband for the A team.
Borders wing Nikki Walker returns in place of Simon Webster while Rory Kerr and Calvin Howarth step up for Craig Joiner and Duncan Hodge respectively.
Andrew Henderson replaces Alan Bulloch as Alistair Dickson comes into the starting XV for his debut.
Gordon McIlwham moves into the front row along with Mattie Stewart while Weir replaces Iain Fullarton.
Andy Hall steps up from the bench in place of Nathan Ross and Jon Petrie moves to number eight with Andrew Wilson taking his place in the second row.
