Clontarf 32-17 Buccaneers

Clontarf battled to a hard-earned but deserving win over an ill-disciplined Buccaneers at Castle Avenue.

The impressive James Downey opened the scoring for Clontarf which Daragh O'Shea converted and later added another conversion and a penalty.

David Moore also scored as clontarf lead 27-0 at half-time.

Buccaneer's Wayne Munn scored a try which Lee Turner converted before adding a further penalty in the opening 15 minutes before David Moore again replied.

Clontarf's Niall O'Brien capped off a fine display with a simple try in the corner late on and Colm Rigney scored a try at the death for Buccs which Turner converted.

But it was too little too late.
