Wales have called up uncapped Bridgend hooker Gareth Williams to the squad preparing for next Saturday’s RBS 6 Nations Championship opener against Italy in Rome.

Wales coach Steve Hansen left a vacancy among his 32-man party for a second hooker following injuries to Robin McBryde, Barry Williams and Andrew Lewis.
