Ulster prop suspended for 10 days

The IRFU has announced that Ulster prop forward Justin Fitzpatrick is to be suspended for 10 days.

Fitzpatrick was sent-off during his side's Celtic League semi-final defeat to Munster last week.

Fitzpatrick was dismissed after 10 minutes of the encounter for continuing to throw punches after the referee had repeatedly blown the whistle in an attempt to break up a fight that involved a number of players from both sides.

Donnacha O'Callaghan, the Munster second row, was yellow-carded and sent for a spell in the bin for his part in the incident.
