Llanelli name 14 internationals

Llanelli have named a line-up containing 14 internationals for their Heineken Cup clash against Sale Sharks at Heywood Road on Friday night.

Centre Matthew Watkins is the odd man out as Llanelli target a vital away win in pursuit of a quarter-final place.

Wales scrum-half Dwayne Peel pipped Ireland’s Guy Easterby for the number nine jersey, with flanker Simon Easterby and Dafydd Jones seeing off challenges from David Hodges and Ian Boobyer to pack down alongside Scott Quinnell in the back row.

Only French club Bourgoin have won at Sale this season, and it is a make or break game for the Sharks, given that a third successive Pool Three defeat would effectively end their last eight hopes.
