UCD survive late Bohs surge

UL Bohs 19-23 UCD

UL-Bohemians are still looking for their first victory in the AIB All-Ireland League Division One following their loss by 23 points to 19 against UCD at Thomond Park today.

Out-half Eoghan Hickey was in outstanding kicking form for the Leinster side and his contribution of 15 points from five penalties along with a first-half try from winger David Blaney made up their tally.

Although UL-Bohs fought back to close the gap to one point with five minutes remaining they failed to get the all-important winning score despite being camped on the UCD line in the closing stages.

Ian Costello was their leading marksman with 14 points from three penalties, one drop goal and one conversion. Centre Nick Lutman was their try scorer.
