Satala back for Fiji
Fiji have Harlequins centre Vili Satala back in their side for Sunday’s Test against Ireland at Lansdowne Road.
Satala was forced to miss last week’s international against Wales in Cardiff because his Zurich Premiership club refused to release him.
The move came against the wishes of a Fijian management backed in the dispute by the International Rugby Board.
Quins though insisted they had not received the necessary paperwork in time to secure the player’s clearance for the Welsh match.
But Satala is back in for this weekend as one of four changes from last weekend’s 58-14 defeat at the Millennium Stadium.
Waisale Serevi returns to the starting line-up at full-back having scored a try for Fiji as a replacement last Saturday.
There are two changes in the pack with flanker Alivereti Mocelutu and number eight Sisa Koyamaibole coming in to boost the back row.
Fiji’s New Zealander coach Mac McCallion was extremely disappointed by his side’s performance against the Welsh and expects another tough battle this weekend against the Irish.
“The Welsh were very good defensively, their patterns were very good and we couldn’t penetrate that,” he said.
“I saw how well the Irish defended against the Australians and I’m pretty sure we’ll be facing the same problems.”
