Nine Connacht stars in Irish Development squad
Connacht’s excellent form this season, which has seen them win seven of their nine competitive fixtures, is reflected in the Ireland Development Squad which will play Argentina next Wednesday with nine of Steph Nel’s men included in the squad.
Connacht, who play Munster in the Celtic League quarter-final at Musgrave Park on Friday, November 29, have five players in the starting 15 to play the Pumas.
Ted Robinson is selected on the right-wing with Gavin Duffy in the centre and Mark McHugh at out-half.
Up front Peter Bracken is chosen at tight head prop with Johnny O’Connor at openside wing forward.
Four of the seven replacements are also from Connacht with hooker Jerry Flannery, prop Ronan McCormack and lock Damien Browne on standby up front, while Shane Moore is included among the cover for the backs.
