Clontarf front it up to win

Clontarf 46 UCD 29

The Clontarf front eight seemed to admire UCD's willingness to throw the ball about in difficult conditions for the first 20 minutes at Castle Avenue.

By that time, they trailed 15-13. Thereafter, they took over the game.

All six of their tries came from forwards, with the front row of Warren O'Kelly, Bernard Jackman (2) and Adrian Clarke accounting for four of them.

They were also helped by the accurate kicking of full-back Darragh O'Shea, who struck two penalties and four of the conversions.

UCD found some consolation in the two-try performance of full-back Darren McKenna.
