Galwey, Lawlor back for Shannon

Shannon will welcome back Munster stars Mick Galwey and Mossie Lawlor when the AIB League champions face GalwegIans at Thomond Park on Saturday.

Both players were on Celtic League duty with the province last weekend and missed the division one opener against St Mary's. But the availability of Munster prop Marcus Horan will not be known until tomorrow evening.

His inclusion in the extended 24 man Irish panel for the autumn internationals means that the Shannon management will have to await word from the Irish camp.

Full-back John Lacey faces a late fitness test but Eddie Halvey has shaken off an injury that forced him off during the St Mary's game and the former London Irish flanker should line out in the Shannon back row.

Galwegians have named a very strong squad with all of their Connacht players made available.

Shannon squad: F O'Loughlin, C O'Loughlin, D Delaney, N McNamara, A Thompson, E Cahill, D O'Donovon, J O'Neill, D Walters, M Lawlor, J Lacey; T Buckley, G McNamara, J Hickey, N Conroy, J Blaney, P McMahon, T Hogan, J Hadnett, G Noonan, C McMahon, E Halvey, D Quinlan - captain, T Hayes, M Galwey, M Horan
