Munster 30 Perpignan 21

Munster earned their first points of the Heineken Cup campaign the hard way today with this 30-21 victory over Perpignan in Limerick.

Three penalty kicks from Ronan O’Gara separated the sides who scored three converted tries apiece at Thomond Park.

John Kelly, man of the match Alan Quinlan and John Hayes scored the Munster tries but the Irish side never quite shook off a resilient French effort and endured some nerve-wracking moments right up to the final whistle.
