Warr takes over at Garryowen

John Warr has been appointed as the new coach of Garryowen.

John Warr has been appointed as the new coach of Garryowen.

The Australian has a very impressive coaching background, including coaching the Australian Under 21 sides in 2000 and 2001 and the Australian Schools sides of 1992/93/94/95.

He also coached Gordon Rugby Club (1st Division) and has run a number of elite player advanced coaching clinics for the Australian Rugby Union.

Aged 52, Warr has coached the likes of Michael Foley (currently head coach at Bath), Matt Burke, Joe Roff, Ben Tune, Elton Flatley, Stirling Mortlock, Cameron and Andrew Blades, George Smith, Phil Waugh and John Langford, who has just returned to Australia having played with Garryowen.
