Harris loses place for Cardiff/Connacht

Iestyn Harris has been relegated to the bench for Cardiff’s Celtic League clash against Connacht in Galway on Friday night.

The former rugby league star is replaced by young fly-half prospect Nicky Robinson in a side showing 10 changes, including three positional switches, from that which crashed 44-35 at home to Glasgow last Saturday.

Other players dropping out include scrum-half Ryan Powell and wing Anthony Sullivan, but centre Jamie Robinson and hooker Andrew Lewis are both back after picking up injuries during pre-season friendlies last month.

Connacht, who opened their Celtic League campaign with a thrilling 28-27 away win against the Borders, could be without veteran fly-half Eric Elwood due to injury.
