Leeds Tykes sign Hegarty from Munster

British club Leeds Tykes have signed scrum-half Derek Hegarty from Munster.

The 26-year-old, who was also part of last year’s league-winning Shannon side, will join the British side with immediate effect.

Phil Davies, the director of rugby at Leeds, said Hegarty will challenge Scott Benton for the starting scrum-half position.
