Ireland skipper Keith Wood has failed in his bid to face Scotland in the Six Nations Championship match at Lansdowne Road on Saturday, March 2.

The Harlequins hooker had been hopeful of returning to action to face the Scots after missing the first two matches of the championship with a calf injury.
