Rugby: Bath plug gap

Bath have signed scrum-half Kevin Dalzell from Heineken Cup quarter-finalists, Montferrand until the end of the season.

The 26-year-old will report for training today ahead of Saturday’s Zurich Premiership clash at Sale.

Coach Jon Callard has acted quickly to cover for injuries to Welsh pair Gareth Cooper and Andy Williams, who have ankle and knee problems.

Dalzell has been squeezed out of the Montferrand side by Italian Test star Alessandro Troncon.
