Heineken Rugby Cup: Bath game on

Bath’s Heineken Cup quarter-final tie against Llanelli will go ahead today following a 9am pitch inspection at the Recreation Ground.

Match referee Alan Lewis declared the pitch playable, meaning that Bath were spared the prospect of having to find an alternative venue.

The game was postponed yesterday after torrential rain lashed the West Country, but Lewis’ thumbs-up gave the go-ahead for a 3pm kick-off today.
