Rugby: Costello forced to withdraw

Leinster No 8 Victor Costello has been forced to withdraw from the Ireland A team to play New Zealand at Ravenhill, Belfast, on Tuesday, due to a rib injury.

Costello will be replaced by Ulster’s Tony McWhirter while New Zealand-

born Irish international Andy Ward has been drafted onto the replacements’ bench.
