European Cup: Five-try Munster trounce Bridgend
Munster 40, Bridgend 6
Munster preserved their unbeaten record at Musgrave Park in this year's European Cup with a five-star and five-try victory over an ill-disciplined Bridgend side.
The visitors opened the scoring with a penalty kick from Craig Warlow, which was quickly cancelled out by Munster’s Ronan O’Gara. Despite a Warlow drop goal it was Munster who led at half time thanks to a try by Anthony Horgan and an O’Gara conversion and penalty kick.
Munster outclassed the visitors in the second-half and ran in unanswered tries from John Kelly, Jeremy Staunton, Jason Holland and Mike Mullins.
