AIB Rugby: Shannon win hard contest against DLSP

Shannon claimed a hard victory over DLSP at Kilternan this afternoon with a penalty try on the half hour settling this unengaging contest.

DLSP had deliberately collapsed the scrum just short of their own line and were subsequently penalised.

Andrew Thompson's penalty brought them into double figures and for the rest of the games his kicks kept Shannon on top.

DLSP managed a bonus point at the end through Damien Mc Cabe but otherwise it was a disappointing afternnoon for their new coach, Paddy Stewart.
