AIB Rugby: Match previews
After last weekend’s heroics in Lansdowne Road against England and the wins for Munster and Leinster in the European Cup last night, the All Ireland League returns to action today with seven games down for decision.
All the clubs will be missing their provincial contracted players because of the European games as Ulster and Connaught are both in action today, Ulster away to Stade Francais and Connaught at home to Sale.
The loss of big-name players means that it is a more level playing field for the smaller sides against the larger teams.
Ballymena host St Mary’s College at Eaton Park, Blackrock College host Cork Con, Lansdowne travel to Oak Park to play Carlow, DLSP clash with Shannon, Garryowen meet Clontarf, Terenure host Dungannon and UCD face Galwegians.
All matches kick-off at half past two.
