Lions Tour: Lions set for mid-morning roar

The Lions are aiming for a convincing victory in their tour opener against Western Australia in Perth today.

Play will begin at 11.30am Irish time.

Many players in the team will be looking to impress coach Graham Henry ahead of the Test series.

The side which includes nine players making their Lions' debuts will be led by Ireland hooker Keith Wood in the absence of Martin Johnson.

All eyes will be on Ireland centre Brian O'Driscoll to see how he plays in the full-back role.

Meanwhile, the full extent of the knee injury to hooker Phil Greening should be known today.

The Lions' medical team are awaiting the results of a scan.
