Rugby League: World Cup coaching duo reappointed

Steve O’Neill and Andy Kelly, who guided Ireland to the quarter-finals of last year’s World Cup, have been reappointed as joint-coaches for the international against France on June 26.

In a management restructure Pat Cluskey of Leeds Rhinos takes over from Huddersfield chief executive Ralph Rimmer as team manager and former Great Britain tourist Des Foy, now a student based in Killarney in Co Kerry, will be his assistant.

Foy, who is now working with the recently-constituted Rugby League of Ireland, played for Oldham and Widnes before moving to Ireland, where he has spent part of his stay running a rugby league team in Tralee.
