Rugby: Dungannon on course for top four

Old Crescent 27-34 Dungannon

Old Crescent 27-34 Dungannon

Tries at the opening of each half by Tyrone Howe helped Dungannon to a win over Old Crescent at Rosbrien.

Five tries, three of which were converted by David Humphries, also gave the away side a vital bonus point in their quest for the top four.

Bryn Cunningham, Niall Brady and Ryan Constable were the other try scorers for Dungannon.

Tries from Gavin Schoeman, Jay Cusack, a drop-goal from Sephen Touhy, four penalties and one conversion by out-half, Bill Treacy, kept Old Crescent in the game to the final whistle.

In what will be the talking point of the match, Old Crescent had Des Clohessy sent off and Mark Hayes sin-binned following an altercation with Dungannon's Justin Fitzpatrick who was also sin-binned.
