AIL League: Hancock's boot wins the day for 'Quins

Belfast Harlequins stormed to victory on the back pitch at Lansdowne Road

Lansdowne 17, Belfast Harlequins 26

Belfast Harlequins stormed to victory on the back pitch at Lansdowne Road

with the boot of Paul Hancock helping them to pull away in the second half.

His opposing number David Quigley had earlier cancelled out Harlequins'

12-point lead with four successful kicks to leave it all-square at the

break.

But surprisingly it was the visitors who finished the stronger of the two

after the break.

Tries from David Spence and Ross Collins, the latter converted by Hancock,

had seen 'Quins off to the best of starts and although Lansdowne responded

well, they came out a clear second best after the interval.

Hancock's kicking coupled with a Robin Morrow try on the hour won the day

for the visitors.
