Cork Con moved back on top of Division One of the AIB League with an impressive victory over this morning's leaders Galwegians at Crowley Park.

Cork Con, even without Ronan O'Gara, laid the foundation for success in the opening half when they opened up a 17-3 lead when they had a galeforce wind at their backs.

It took just 95 seconds for Craig Taylor to get their first try and man-of-the-match Anthony Horgan and Conor Mahony crossed for tries before Eric Elwood relieved the pressure with a penalty before the break.

Another Elwood penalty three minutes after the restart suggested a Galwegians comeback but this was cancelled five minutes later by Brian O¹Meara.

Galwegians could not find a way through for a try and Con. finished on a high with Derek Dillon¹s injury-time netted them a bonus point.
