Rugby: Heineken Cup semis to go ahead

European Rugby Cup Ltd, organisers of the Heineken Cup, have confirmed the semi-finals will go ahead as scheduled.

Stade Francais will play Munster in Lille on Saturday, April 21 and Gloucester will meet Leicester at Vicarage Road on the same day.

ERC Ltd said in a statement they are in constant contact with the Six Nations committee and the relevant unions to assess the effect the foot-and-mouth crisis may have on the tournament.

They are also in on-going discussions with the Government.

ERC Ltd’s board will meet on April 3 to consider the situation again.
