Rugby: Bradford Bulls star Robbie Paul arrested
A Rugby League star has been cautioned after police arrested him for being drunk and disorderly.
Bradford Bulls player Robbie Paul was detained in Leeds following an incident
in the city centre in the early hours of Sunday.
The 25-year-old New Zealand international was questioned at Bridewell police station before being cautioned and released without charge.
A spokesman for West Yorkshire police said: "We can confirm that a 25-year-old man was arrested in the New Briggate area of Leeds in the early hours of Sunday morning and was cautioned."
Paul joined Bradford in 1994 and is regarded as one of the sport's brightest stars.
Bradford Bulls chief executive Abi Ekoku defended the player, saying he had been a "model professional, both on and off the field".
