London Irish are days away from securing a new tenancy deal at Reading's Madejski Stadium.

London Irish are days away from securing a new tenancy deal at Reading's Madejski Stadium.

The Zurich Premiership club are expected to seal a new seven-year agreement before the end of the week.

The news comes as a massive boost to the Exiles who have played at Sunbury and The Stoop in the last two years.

Club spokesman Patrick Lennon said: "The deal has been done.

"We are just waiting for the documents to come back from our lawyers.

"It's absolutely brilliant news for the club."

Since they moved to the Madejski, Irish's gates have increased by as much as 35%.

The club, who are currently eighth in the Premiership, has also seen a major increase in corporate activity.
