French hooker Fabrice Landreau has confirmed he should be fit for his country's next Six Nations clash against Ireland.

He was ruled out of Sunday's victory over Scotland because of a back injury.

Landreau will begin training on Thursday but will miss his club's league match against Bourgoin this Saturday.

He was injured playing for Stade Francais against Pau in the European Cup,

French selectors will pick the squad on Thursday for the Dublin encounter on February 17.

Landreau said: "I had tests which didn't reveal any complications. My back is fine."
