Cool Morgan Codyre wins Connacht Senior Cup for 'the Jes'

Colaiste Iognáid 16 Garbally College 15: Colaiste Iognáid coach Stephen Parkinson praised the exploits of star out-half Morgan Codyre after he kicked ‘the Jes’ to their 13th Connacht Senior Cup title.

It was their first win since 2011, and although they were outscored three tries to one by Garbally College, Codyre’s accuracy with the boot, which yielded 11 points, was the difference between the sides.

His last-minute penalty sealed it, and Garbally were left to rue the late sin- binning of lock Stephen Grenham for a tip-tackle on Adam Corbett.
