Junior rugby: Clonmel bid to strengthen grip on Division One title

Clonmel possess plenty of attacking power themselves, with Ronan Crosse and Luke Hogan their main threats.

Second-placed Bandon have their own derby in Clonakilty. Clon are struggling but the longer the game hangs in the balance the more their experience could prove vital.

Richmond host an in-form Old Christians n what will be a clash of two aggressive packs. The Limerick side should have the firepower to win.

St Mary’s won’t be expected to halt Galbally’s good run. Waterpark and Newcastle West meet in a relegation battle. The Waterford side have home advantage and whoever wins can take a big step towards safety.

Three are two mid-table affairs, Muskerry hosting Clanwilliam and St Senan’s traveling to Skibbereen.

In Division Two, Abbeyfeale have a 100% record, with bonus points from half their games and Mallow have the unenviable task of travelling to the Limerick outfit. It should be a difficult tie for an improving North Cork side.

Promotion-chasing Cobh Pirates host Charleville while Kinsale can’t afford any slip-up in Tralee.

Ennis host Presentation, while improving Dungarvan go to Waterford City.

Castleisland and Thurles should win at home to Newport and Ballincollig.

In Division Three, the big promotion battle pits Crosshaven against Fermoy, with Killorglin aiming to keep in the hunt with a home win over Fethard.
