UCC face tough Munster Senior Cup trip to Bruff
The first of the Munster Senior Cup matches takes place tonight in Bruff as UCC travel to take on the Co Limerick side. The students have had a decent start to their league campaign. Despite two divisions separating the team, Bruff should give the college outfit a tough game.
The most interesting game is in Annacotty. Cashel will be full of confidence as they travel to a struggling UL Bohemian. League form would suggest the Tipperary club could well heap further misery on the Limerick side.
Sunday’s Well have enjoyed four successive league wins in Division 2B and are set to take on their ground-sharing rivals Dolphin who should prove too strong in what should be a keenly contested derby.
Both Nenagh Ormond and Kanturk have two wins in their respective divisions, albeit with the Tipperary club being two divisions higher up. Home advantage may give Kanturk a fighting chance.
Clonmel have made a strong start to their campaign and will be relishing the opportunity to advance to the semi-final of the All-Ireland Junior Cup. It won’t be easy as they take on one of Ulster’s premier sides Clogher Valley.
St Senan’s are Munster’s other representatives and after overcoming Monivea away, things don’t get easier as they travel to Ulster champions Instonians.
Locally, there is one game in Division Two in Newport as both the hosts and Mallow will aim to get their season up and running.
In Division Three, Crosshaven will aim for a win at Fethard while Killorglin host Douglas-Carrigaline.
