Ireland lock Jack Dwan has been ruled out of the remainder of the World Rugby U20 Championship with a shoulder injury sustained in the final minute of Saturday’s win over Scotland.

He will miss Ireland’s bid for a first win over New Zealand tomorrow night as Nigel Carolan’s side bid to reach the semi-finals for the second year in a row.

Ireland coach Carolan has drafted Ulster hooker Adam McBurney as a replacement in an effort to extend options for the remaining three games in the tournament.
