Looks like Ronan O’Gara is the latest Irish star to swap sports

But eat your hearts out Jackie Tyrrell and Aaron Kernan, versatile ROG has taken up two new sports.

Looks like Ronan O’Gara is the latest Irish star to swap sports

First Ronan almost masters a handstand under the tutelage of Romanian former Olympic champion Andreea Raducan.

Though ROG may need to generate a little bit more go-forward momentum before he can match Andreea on the floor.

Kilkenny star Jackie Tyrrell might have got his bat on a fast ball when taking part in TV3’s The Toughest Trade, but O’Gara hit it out of the paddock when playing the traditional Romanian sport of  Oină.

For her part, Andreea fell victim to the plague of aimless kicking infecting modern rugby.

Both kept their eyes on the main prize for this DHL-sponsored ‘Rugby v Gymnastics” contest, some trinket called the Webb Ellis Cup.

We’re not sure of the final score but ROG surely did enough by learning how to fly a plane too, while he was at it.

And Ireland already have the World Cup boxed off.

Ronan O'Gara and Andreea Raducan were in Bucharest, Romania on March 17th as part of the Rugby World Cup Trophy Tour in partnership with Land Rover and DHL ahead of Rugby World Cup 2015.
