Flannery wary of Connacht intensity

There was a time when Connacht were regarded as a soft touch. That day has long passed, however, and Munster make the trip to Galway on Thursday fully aware that the one-time Cinderella province has not lost a league match there this season.

Munster forwards coach Jerry Flannery doesn’t need reminding of the passion Connacht can generate on these occasions having represented the province in the early stages of what turned out to be an honours-ladencareer.

“I had a brilliant two years up in Galway and learned an awful lot,” he acknowledges.
