Pienaar’s return timely Ulster boost

Ulster’s playmaker scrum-half, Ruan Pienaar, has timed his return to rugby to perfection.

The Springbok orchestrator will make his first appearance in a white shirt this season when Ulster face the Scarlets in a last chance Champions Cup clash at the Kingspan Stadium this evening.

Pienaar, who is thrown in right away as Ian Humphreys’ half-back partner, injured his knee playing for South Africa at the beginning of last month and it was initially feared he would be out until the New Year.
