Chris Henry’s return to rugby is a matter of ‘when’ rather than ‘if’, according to Ireland assistant coach Les Kiss.

The Ulster flanker is recuperating after an operation earlier this week to repair a defect in his heart wall, having been stood down from the Ireland team to face South Africa three weeks ago on the morning of the game.

Fellow Ireland international Richardt Strauss returned to rugby last season just three months after undergoing surgery for a heart condition and, while Kiss believes Henry will tread a similar path, he stressed that rugby is not the priority just now.
