Peter O’Mahony: I’ll be fit for Sarries showdown

The bangs and knocks of last Saturday’s encounter with Sale Sharks are clear as Munster captain Peter O’Mahony sits down 48 hours later to discuss his team’s next Champions Cup mission.

And just as evident as thoughts turn to a good old-fashioned Anglo-Irish dust-up at Thomond Park is that nothing as piffling as a bit of strapping around a couple of fingers is going to stop O’Mahony from leading his team out against Pool 1 favourites Saracens tomorrow night.

“If a finger injury is keeping you out of a rugby game, you would be rightly in trouble,” he says when asked if the bandaging around his little digit is a concern ahead of this potential blockbuster with the English Premiership leaders.
