Another victory for BOD as he bags world record

Brian O’ Driscoll might be done with rugby but he keeps on bagging the honours.

Combining his caps for the Irish Rugby team and the Irish and British Lions, the Guinness Book of Records haS deemed O'Driscoll the most capped international rugby player of all time.

BOD finished his career with 141 international games in total - 133 for Ireland and eight caps for the Lions.

O' Driscoll, who described the honour as a "childhood dream", is joined by other sporting Irishmen on the list.

Rory McIlory takes the plaudits for the lowest golf score over 72 holes at the US Open while Tony McCoy gains an entry for the record number of horse racing wins in a single season in 2001/02 with 289.

Other sporting entries include Cristiano Ronaldo who has the most Twitter followers for a sports person with 29 million and Asmir Begovic's amazing goalie goal for Stoke City last season has been recorded as the world's longest strike.

Celebrities worthy of an entry include Katy Perry for the most Twitter followers, Shakira for the the most Facebook likes and Eminem for the most words in a hit single. The book comes out on September 10.
