Ian Keatley caught the eye as he warmed up for Munster’s training session at the University of Limerick yesterday ahead of Sunday’s European clash with Edinburgh at Thomond Park.

The fly-half, whose impressive performance against Gloucester last Saturday helped secure the province qualification for the Heineken Cup knockout stages, is managing an inflammatory condition in his groin known as osteitis pubis and uses green resistance bands around his thighs and ankles to strengthen the affected area.

Fellow out-half JJ Hanrahan, who is managing a similar groin problem, and hooker Mike Sherry, recovering from a cruciate knee ligament injury, are other to use the equipment during warm-ups for training and games.
