Munster will today have a clearer picture on the fitness status of Simon Zebo ahead of Saturday evening’s Heineken Cup meeting with Gloucester at Thomond Park.

The & wing was due to have a scan on his left ankle last night having suffered the injury in Munster’s Pool 6 opening defeat at Edinburgh.

Zebo had to be helped off the Murrayfield pitch during the second half of a game that also saw back rower Paddy Butler suffer a fracture in his right thumb, for which he had to undergo surgery in Limerick on Sunday.
