Munsters mourn death of Kennedy
As Honorary Secretary of the North Munster sub-committee of the Munster Branch for more than 20 years and as liaison officer for a number of overseas touring teams, Kennedy served everyone with courtesy and impartiality even if little meant more to him than Young Munster. His appointment as club President in 1958/59 and /59/60 was probably his proudest honour.
The funeral arrangements: Reposing at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street, today from 5.30pm. Removal at 7pm to St Joseph’s Church. Requiem Mass tomorrow 10.30am. Cremation Service, Island Crematorium, Wednesday (2pm).
