Terenure secure promotion

Terenure will be competing in Division 1B of the Ulster Bank League following their exploits at the weekend.

Terenure did enough to stay ahead and claim the Division 2A title with a 33-19 win over UCC, this despite the fact that second placed Corinthians had a huge home win over Seapoint.

NUIM Barnhall earned automatic promotion from Division 2B despite losing away to Nenagh Ormond; they edged out Naas on points difference despite the Kildare side rattling up 55 points without reply against Instonians.

Meanwhile, Tullamore will become the league’s newest club next season after winning the Round Robin tournament, this time with a victory over Monivea.

In Division 1A the interest switches to the bottom of the table next weekend, with bottom club UL Bohs having to travel to Cork looking for a win over Constitution, while Shannon, just ahead of them on points difference, have an equally difficult test against champions Lansdowne at home.
