Stringer deal keeps him at Bath for one more year

Peter Stringer has signed a one-year extension to his contract at Bath Rugby after a snub by Munster.

The deal keeps the 98 times capped Irish international scrum-half at the club after a highly successful loan period.

Head Coach, Gary Gold, said: “Strings has been fantastic for us, so we’re really pleased he’s agreed to stay here.”

Stringer was brought in as injury cover for Michael Claassens but went on to make the number 9 jersey his own, bringing, according to Gold, “a punchy delivery of the ball, tenacity at the breakdown and quick-thinking to the field.”
