Simon Zebo could give Munster another Heineken Cup boost following his return to active training this week, days after Paul O’Connell’s return from back surgery.

The 23-year-old wing/full-back broke a bone in his foot during Ireland’s Six Nations game against England on February 10 and was originally ruled out for 10 weeks.

However, he has made better progress than expected and has been training with the team, albeit on a limited scale, for the last couple of weeks. This week, however, and particularly yesterday at a session in the Cork Institute of Technology, he cranked up his involvement to include a level of contact.
